Description: On suspicion in murder of the police produces the arrest of one Daniel ray Hawkins, and once in the chamber, who surprisingly easily recognized in many of his crimes. However, some of his stories seem so unbelievable that the Sheriff begins to doubt that Hawkins mentally healthy.
I saw this grim little flick when I was just a kid and it left an impression. This sister film of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is just as good if not better. Burns does an excellent job of playing a low key psycho with more blood lust than brains. According to what I have read, this is a more accurate representation to the real life exploits of Lucas (or at least the stories he told). The drifting, the taking advantage of the trust of elders, and his child bride who tagged along with him.
